Closings-
Town N Country restaurant in New Baltimore has gone out of business. A long time fixture in Fauquier
County that will be missed by many.
Citi Financial has closed the Warrenton office and combined it with their Manassas office.
Real Woods & Home Furnishings will be closing and is having a closing sale now.
The Old Habit in Marshall will be closing and Gillian DuPont will be retiring.
Known for their great deals on used horse tack, be sure and check the going out of business sale.
It won't be long now.
Moving-
Overcoming Obstacles Landscaping Co. has moved to a new location in Warrenton. Owner, Grady Morris, now
has more space to run the business in the new location.
Dr. Lorraine Chun has moved her practice to Veterans Drive.
Acupuncturist, Sarah Steed, has moved to Old Town Warrenton.
Be Boutique has reopened in their new larger
space on the other side of Main Street, in the old Blue
Ridge Hardware building, next to The Town Duck. They
have a lovely collection of clothing and some wonderful
jewelry at a great price.
Warrenton Dermatology has moved across the street to Blackwell Park Lane.
For A Dancer has moved to Main St, with a larger space and will add a dance boutique in the fall.
Changes-
Earth Glaze & Fire has enlarged their shop and now have a new presence and beautiful displays in their new windows on Main Street.
After being purchased by new owners in April, Falcon Auto Wash has now become Dr. Car Wash. The new owners
have cleaned up and spruced it up to make it a more pleasant experience. And some of the old services of years
gone by have returned, like wiping down all the door jams. I was impressed.
Dok Klaus, PC Services has changed their hours to help commuters. They are now open Mon. - Fri. from
8am to 7pm and on Sat. from 9am to 5pm.
J&D Handyman has added yet another aspect to their business, they now install and service both
in ground and above ground pools.
For anyone who doesn't know, Country Cookin' now has a breakfast buffet on the weekends.
After a long break, The Wing Fanatic, next to Comfort Inn, has reopened and is ready for business.
Tana's Kitchen will be closed until July 19th to reduce their store size. When they reopen
they will be doing pick-up and delivery only. They hope to add store sessions again in the future.
Oak Hill National Bank has applied to add drive through lanes to their Warrenton location.
The talented hands of Joey Wilson & Jim Stubblefield, who have been creating floral arrangements for C&S
Flowers for
almost 20 years, are now the new owners of the shop and have named it
Warrenton Florist. They are having a 50% off sale right now to get ready for some remodeling.
Coming-
To Warrenton
Angels of Beauty will be going in near Ledo's, it is a day spa.
Play N Trade Video Games is working on a spot near Ledo's also.
Rancho El Paso Mexican restaurant is coming to the old Ocean Cafe building.
Work seems to have slowed or halted, so we may have to
wait and see on this one.
The White Horse carwash has been approved to go
where Friendly's was. They expect the process
to take a year and hope to have it open in July of 2010. It is under way, but I don't believe it will make
the original opening date.
Construction is underway on an assisted living facility at Suffield Meadows
as part of the Fauquier Health organization. It is due to open in September.
To Bealeton
Helen Wyckoff will be opening CK Home and Hardware, a True Value hardware store, in the Bloom
shopping center. In order to accommodate a store of this size, they will be relocating the H&R Block, the Verizon and the
Nails Design stores to other locations within the shopping center. Helen hopes to have the new store open in early December.
